What Are E-Fuels?
E-fuels (or electrofuels) are synthetic fuels made by combining green hydrogen (produced via electrolysis using renewable electricity) with captured CO₂ (or other carbon sources).
They can take multiple forms: e-methane, e-kerosene, e-diesel, e-gasoline, e-methanol, e-ammonia, etc.
Because they are synthetic but chemically similar to conventional fuels, they can often be used in existing internal combustion engines or infrastructure — especially valuable for hard-to-electrify sectors like aviation and shipping.

Interesting overview of how e-fuels bridge the gap for sectors that can’t fully electrify yet. Reading this kind of technical explanation makes me wonder whether people ever use product description writing services, maybe even something like PaysomeoneTo, to simplify complex sustainability topics for general audiences.
